THE BIT ABOUT COMPETING
THIS SECTION OF THE WEBSITE IS FOR YOUNG ATHLETES COMPETING IN ALL EVENTS.
The main focus for our U13, U15 and U17 athletes is the National Young Athletes League. In 2007 we won all of our matches to top our division and earn promtion to division 1 for 2008.
Girls of all ages can run in the Southern Women's League and there are several other one-off trophy and open meetings that our athletes can enter.
We hope that most athletes will compete in the Middlesex or Surrey Championships. Details HERE.
In the winter the sprint and field athletes take opportunities to compete indoors and the distance runners turn to cross country and complete the SMRAC Winter Tour.

Please remember that SMRAC is a competitive club and we expect our members to compete when asked to do so.
The competitions are there for your benefit and the club coaches give up their time to help make you the best competitive athlete you can become.
Don't worry, we won't ask you to do anything we don't think you are able to do! Competition should be fun and rewarding.
SMRAC distance is a running club based in Twickenham with running in Richmond, Teddington, Hampton and Hounslow.
